Velvet Living began in London over 15 years ago with a simple yet powerful idea: to elevate events through design and personalized service. Our founder, Maurits, started out as a DJ at private parties — and that people-first approach still drives what we do today.

Velvet Living Barcelona is part of the Velvet family – affectionately known as “The Velvets” – a group of creative event experts with offices in London, the South of France, the Balearics, and Barcelona.
Across our locations, we’ve been helping event professionals, brands, and private clients bring their ideas to life for over 15 years.

Maurits – Founder
The original Velvet insider (and DJ), Maurits leads the wider group with creative vision and business oversight. He spends a lot of time in Spain and brings a strong understanding of the local landscape, alongside the perspective of overseeing events across Europe.
Laura – Event Manager
Laura oversees day-to-day operations in Barcelona and works closely with clients to bring their events to life. Calm under pressure and focused on delivery, she makes things happen — smoothly and with style.
Cami – Event Assistant
Cami supports across events and supplier coordination, helping with logistics, communications, and on-site prep. With an eye for detail and a flexible mindset, she plays a key role in keeping everything on track.
